Will Check Engine Light Go Off After Replacing O2 Sensor. I had a friend replace them and now the check engine light will not go off. Why is my check engine light still on after changing o2 sensor?

When i went to drop off my mechanic i said wait, this is the test, i turned my car off waited a few seconds and turned it back on and with in a minute the engine light came back on. Just because you get an o2 sensor code doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is bad.
